Some of you might not know that Coach my Sport, one of our partners is a Community Interest Company (CiC).
What is a Community Interest Company ?
A Community Interest Company is a business with primary social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners.
CICs tackle a wide range of social and environmental issues and operate in all parts of the economy. By using business solutions to achieve public good, it is believed that CICs have a distinct and valuable role to play in helping create a strong, sustainable and socially inclusive economy.
Coach My Sport is now using it surpluses to fund an Academy Programme aimed at young people not in education, employment or training, those not engaged at school or those with disabilities (whether sensory, physical or mental)
Although our programme is looking to upskill the young people to become sports coaches any positive destination would be a success for us. Just to see the confidence building in young people moving onto a better future and becoming role models in their communities would be viewed as a success for the programme.
So your contribution to the classes goes directly to funding the Academy Programme and we could not support this work without your support.
We would all like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone.
